Software Engineer, Fullstack

San Francisco, CA - Full Time

As a full-stack engineer, you’ll work closely with our other engineers as well as the product and data teams. You’ll be responsible for decisions that will shape the identity of the product and the culture of the engineering team. You’ll need to be excited about the fast-paced startup environment, easy to work with, and willing to wear many hats.

About You
• You take responsibility for your work and own your projects
• Must be a self-starter and driven. Rather than being told what to do, more often than not you’ll be given a problem and be expected to manufacture a solution
• You deliver reliable and consistent code on time. You enjoy conversations about problems and architecting solutions, but at the end of the day you know delivering the solution that works every time is most important
• You know the balance needed when it comes to hacking together a solution versus implementing with rigor. Some things need to be tested and iterated on quickly, whereas others need thorough development
• You’re resourceful, flexible, and adaptable. There’s no challenge too big or too small
• An interest in mental health and passion for helping others

Key Qualifications
• 2+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent
• Fluency in multiple major programming languages (Javascript, Python, Ruby, etc.)
• Extensive experience in mobile or web application development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cross platform application languages like ReactNative or Flutter
• Knowledge of a web framework like React, Angular, or Vue
• Experience with GraphQL as well as API design principals and best practices
• Experience with Django

• Experience with client side data management stores such as Redux, Flux, or Apollo
• Experience with Relational Databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and container orchestration

UI / UX Designer

San Francisco, CA - Full Time

As a UI / UX Designer, you'll work closely with the product team to conceptualize and execute on designs to solve problems for Ensu's products. This is a rare opportunity that will put you in position of ownership of the product from the UI / design perspective. On top of leading the charge on usability and design, you will play a critical role in user research as well as tying the technical strong-points of Ensu's technology to user needs.

Responsibilities
• Run the design process for all product improvements, updates and launches

• Design visual interfaces, wireframes, user flows, and compelling interactions

• Create inspiring user-centered designs that take into consideration customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings

• Rapidly produce working prototypes to put your designs to the test

• Strategize, brainstorm, and problem-solve to design key features

• Work as a collaborative and contributing partner with product & engineering


Who you are:
• An interest in mental health and a passion for helping others

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience, including demonstrated experience in designing visually compelling consumer interfaces

• Familiarity with tools for interface design and prototyping, including Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite

• Basic understanding of how designs are implemented by software engineers

• Familiarity with the design sprint process and rapid prototyping

• Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills

• Portfolio available of previous design work

• Experience with user research principles, and user centered design techniques

• Ability to conduct user interviews and surveys, consolidating information into usable insights
